A Brief Networking History High-Speed Networks now dominate both wide-area network (WAN) and local-area network (LAN) markets. Public and private data networks have evolved from packet. In my personal experience, most data cards work on 3g networks can reach maximum speed of 1 mbps and burst speed of 4 mbps. It took like 5 days for me to download this much data. My broadband BSNL DSL is way faster than all of these dongle cards, where speeds was consistently about 4mbps (not burst). DWL G520 WIRELESS 2.4GHZ 802.11B PCI WINDOWS XP DRIVER DOWNLOAD. Access Point Name (APN) is the inlet point for acquiring the settings of the internet under certain conditions. This can be achieved by configuring the network connection. Originally, the Access Point Name identifies Packet Data Network (PDN) and also defines the type of service for contacting the mobile data. It uses 3gpp access data networks. - 1 APN Structure:
APN Structure:
The basic design of JIO APN settings constitutes two types. These are the Network Identifier and Operator Identifier.
Network Identifier:
The indication of external Packet Data Network (PDN) where the GPRS Support Node (GGSN) is the type of service the user wishes to access. This identifier has a similar name relating to the coding format of internet URL which contains three labels, and this name is allotted by Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) to the specific organization that was officially reserved for their name on the Internet domain.
Operator Identifier:
This identifier is the optional part of APN, which is derived after the network identifier is given. Users can give the input of this identifier. The default operator identifier is used in Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN). It is located in specific operator’s packet domain network where GPRS Support Node (GGSN) is present.
Modifying APN Settings:
To get the internet connection in your mobile device the user has to find the proper JIO APN settings and edit it to increase JioFi slow internet speed on your handset. Based on our data plan and the type of connectivity, APN is provided by contacting customer support. Next, to set the JIO APN settings, we can choose the option under mobile internet settings and give the Access Point Name we got from the customer support.
JIO APN Settings
The connection between our carrier’s cellular network and the public internet is the main process in APN. The settings may also differ and at times, the network can automatically setup based on the speed of the internet. If the network speed is low, the JIO’s customer support helps us to deal with the network. Must Read:Jio 5G: All You Need To Know About Internet’s Next Evolution.
Steps to obtain the APN Network
Following is the step by step guide on how to obtain the APN Network. Check this out to be able to set up your network properly.
- Go to Settings >> Mobile Network.
- Select Network Mode and set it to LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) or LTE only.
- Then select APN and choose JIO 4G.
- Set APN to Jio net.
- Set Proxy, Port, Username, and Password to ‘Not set.’
- You can use either set ‘Server’ to ‘Not set’ or to www.google.com to increase browsing speed.
- Set MMSC, Authentication type, and MMS Proxy to ‘Not set.’ Do not change MCC, MNC settings as it depends on our area.
- Set APN protocol’ to IPv6 or IPv4/IPV6 to boost the speed.
LIST | DETAILS |
---|---|
Name | Jio 4G (you can give any name, it doesn’t matter at all) |
APN | jionet |
Proxy | Not set |
Port | Not set |
Username | Not set |
Password | Not set |
Server | Not set (you can use www.google.com to increase browsing/downloading speed) |
MMSC | Not set |
MMS Proxy | Not set |
MCC, MNC | It depends on your area. So don’t change these default settings |
Authentication type | Not set |
APN protocol | IPv6 (to boost speed, you can change it to IPv4/IPV6). Same is for roaming protocol |
Enable/disable APN | leave it unchanged |
Bearer | Unspecified (you can change it to LTE) |
Mobile virtual network operator type | None |
Hence, the JIO APN settings play a major role to let you enjoy this high-speed LTE. Different networks have their respective domain names. The high-speed network is booming currently, and the first network with LTE/VoLTE (voice over LTE) is from JIO, which reached every part of our country.
Conclusion:
This is all you need to know about JIO APN settings to start enjoying the high-speed connections. If you have any queries, do leave them in the comments section below.
7+ Best high speed data card dongles in India
Data card popularity has gained momentum in India with many people wanting high speed data card during mobility. I recently searching for a high speed dongle to download 40GB game.
You should know how to spot download speed correctly when using a data card. The download speed often shown as Kilobytes (KBps) vs Kilobits (Kbps). Notice the small b in kilobits and capital B in Kilobytes.
1 Kbps – Kilo bits per second
1 KBps – Kilo bytes per second ( equals 8 x Kbps)
1 Mbps equals approx 122.1 KBps
If you see 1 Mbps, that means it is calculated in bits.
High Speed Data Card Network Rules
Network congestion is a very important factor before you buy any data card. You should opt for least congested network provider (eg. bsnl, tata) to get maximum download speeds at night. Also you should live near a signal tower to boost the speeds.
